Japan Trip Day Seven

Day #7 Osaka - Tokyo
15th August 2008 (Thursday)

Today, we checked out of Cross Hotel and it's time to travel back to Tokyo.
Took some pictures at the hotel outside our room before we left. Bye bye Cross Hotel! We hope to be back one day!

Last pictures before we leave the hotel
Our plan was to leave Osaka early and return to Tokyo so that we could do some last minute sightseeing and shopping at Roppongi and Harajuku before we fly back to Singapore the next day. However, the travelling to Tokyp journey was longer and more tiring than we expected.

As we wanted to save some time, we bought the bento set , sushi and salad from one of the shops along the underground tunnel link to JR Namba station to eat on the train.

Our train journey started from JR Namba, transiting at Tennoji to Shin-Osaka JR, and finally transitting to the Shinkansen to Tokyo. Upon reaching Tokyo, we have to take another train to Hikari then to Akihabara and along the JR line to Lidabashi and transiting on Odeo Line to Higashi Shinjuku where our hotel is. It was a long tiring journey and the poor guys got to lug the heavy luggages up staircases over and over again. The hotel we stayed in for one night is called Hotel Sunroute Higashi Shinjuku.

It was chosen and booked by Aaron. Hotel facilities were fine but the location isn't too good though. There was practically nothing much near by except office buildings.

After resting for 5 minutes, we did not want to waste time and proceeded out to Shibuya where we did some shopping. Samantha went together with us while Steven went to his fishing shop somewhere and nearly got lost. Haha! Samantha managed to get her make up stuff while i bought a bag from Zara. Hubby as usual had his share of food... ate a chicken wrap thingy with fries to satisfy his stomach.

We then proceeded to Shibuya 109, one of the big shopping malls to walk around. Didn't get anything as eerythind seemed to be for youngsters. I did try to be funny by trying on the shades and hat though. We also had our dinner at Chirico di NAPOLI spagetti house. Dinner was so-so only.

After shopping and dinner at Shibuya, we decided to head back to the hotel to pack our stuff and rest for the day. We still have half a day tomorrow before flying back home! Hubby suggested for us to wake early for breakfast and walk around the hotel vicinity to see if there are anything special.
